Synthetic data with a wide range of processed versions
The Marmousi Model 2 was created in 2004 by Gary Martin as part of his Masters thesis. The elastic new model expands upon the original Marmousi model created by the Institut Francais du Petrole (IFP).

Our project contains both time and depth processed data. The time data contains the vertical synthetic, two unmigrated versions (with and without multiple removal) and both pre and post stack Kirchoff migrations.
The depth data contains the vertical synthetic plus the p-wave velocity model. It also includes an additional Wave Equation Prestack depth migration plus the Kirchoff versions.
This is an excellent project to begin with because it has known anomalies that can be studied using the various migration. It is also an example of extreme high-frequency amplitudes that illustrate the ineffectiveness of using color to represent them.
